VMware Exit Solution

Fast VMware Exit for Small and Midsize Businesses

This offer follows a phased migration strategy: initially consolidating workloads onto Dell PowerEdge VRTX infrastructure to stabilize operations, then transitioning to a long-term, VMware-independent platform. Target platforms include Microsoft Hyper-V with Azure hybrid capabilities, Proxmox VE, Red Hat KVM ecosystems, Oracle virtualization solutions, or Citrix-based environments, selected based on the organization's technical and financial objectives.

What we hear before every VMware exit

  • Our renewal does not make sense anymore.
  • We don not know if we have to replace all our hardware.
  • We are afraid to touch anything because everything is too fragile.
  • Every option sounds like a risky cutover.
  • We are being pushed toward a full rebuild we do not want or need.

Good news: You don't need to rip and replace. Most environments can transition off VMware using existing hardware with a staged, low-risk approach.

How the staged transition works

The point is to avoid forcing the client directly from one stressed platform to another unfinished one. VRTX becomes the temporary converged environment that gives the migration breathing room.

  • Production VMware workloads are migrated onto Dell PowerEdge VRTX infrastructure.
  • While that workload is running there, the long-term platform is redeployed cleanly.
  • The final destination can be Windows Hyper-V, Linux KVM, or another right-fit solution.
  • Once the final platform is stable, workloads are transitioned again in a more controlled way.
Migration Flow

Three clear phases instead of one giant undefined project.

1

Assess

Review hosts, workloads, backups, dependencies, hardware constraints, and the business reality around downtime windows.

2

Stage on VRTX

Move the workload onto converged Dell PowerEdge VRTX infrastructure so the final platform can be rebuilt without rushing.

3

Redeploy and transition

Build out Hyper-V, Linux KVM, or another right-fit destination and transition workloads with stabilization support built in.

Start with the current environment, not a canned template.

Schedule a VMware exit assessment and map out whether VRTX staging, Hyper-V, KVM, or another platform is the right path.
